Matthew Barber was elected as Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Thames Valley in May 2021. He previously served as Deputy PCC from 2017 to 2021.
"I'm passionate about making a difference to reducing crime. It sounds really basic but we can't forget why we're here to keep communities safe.
"My vision, set out in my Police and Criminal Justice Plan, includes:
- Focusing on strong local policing;
- Doing more to tackle serious organised crime;
- Fighting cybercrime and fraud;
- Improving the criminal justice system; and Tackling illegal encampments.
