APCC welcomes results of police week of action targeting County Lines drugs supply operations

20/03/2024

In response to publication of the results of a week of action by police targeting County Lines drugs gangs, APCC joint leads for serious violence, Simon Foster and Steve Turner, said:

“County Lines is a despicable act of grooming by dangerous criminal gangs who exploit the most vulnerable people in society and bring misery and violence to our communities.

"PCCs are supporting police efforts to stop these violent criminal networks and work with local authorities, voluntary bodies, criminal justice agencies and schools to disrupt the supply of drugs and protect young people in particular.

“Weeks of action are critical in focusing activity and raise awareness of the threats. It’s clear this work and a multi-agency approach is having a significant impact.”
