Lisa Townsend was elected as the new Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Surrey in May 2021.
Lisa says that becoming Surrey's new PCC is incredibly exciting; it's very hard work, but enormously rewarding. She says that working to prevent violence against women and girls is a priority for her as well mental health, for which she is the APCC's National Lead.
"I'm going to be working really hard with Surrey residents and the police force to make sure communities across Surrey are better represented in the decisions that are made by our police force but also that our police are better represented in our communities."
